This amazing yoga routine helps strengthen and stretch your chest, hips, quadriceps, arms, and shoulders. It is also a form of chair yoga, which makes the routine easier to execute, making it ideal for seniors who struggle to stand up for a prolonged period.

To do this exercise, this is how to go about it.

Find a nice and comfortable place to sit, preferably a chair with a backrest.

Carefully turn to your right as much as possible with one foot forward and the other behind.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath, ensuring your back is straight.

Slowly lift both arms upwards above your head and bring your palms together.

Hold that position for 20 seconds, then slowly return to your starting position.

Repeat the same procedure with your opposite side and continue with the movement for about ten reps.
